Guatemala Unleashed

As the Chef-Patron of Diacá, the country's leading restaurant, Debora Fadul has set  the standards for Guatemala's gastronomy. Merging food and culture, she strives to connect with individuals to bring nostalgia, ancestral knowledge, and the culture of Guatemala and its farmers to the forefront.

In 2022, she earned a nomination from the World's 50 Best as the Next 50 Best Chefs. During our trip, we'll visit to Diacá, as Chef Debora will welcome us to savour her food and share her innovative concept.

For over a decade, Adakt has been highly respected in Guatemala's electronic music scene, having obtained worldwide recognition and toured around the world representing Guatemalan artists. Best known for his pioneering the now famous full moon parties in Lake Atitlan, and residency as DJ of Wachalal, a festival of culture evolution and ancestral knowledge. 

In this trip, we'll spend the weekend with Adakt to experience alternative arts and electronic music scene that he pioneers in Lake Atitlan.

Chocolatería Sero, maker of the famous El Buen Cacao concept in Guatemala, combines their social and environmental responsibility with high quality ingredients to create fine chocolates. They also promote biodiversity, land reforestation, and better living conditions for everyone. On this trip, we will be able to sample various Guatemalan Fine Chocolates from distinct ecoregions all over the country, as well as tour cacao farms owned by their  farmers, organized communities.

Since its victory in the United Nations’ largest-ever competition for sustainable tourism, Etnica has become a leader in impact tourism organization throughout Guatemala and the Yucatan Peninsula since 2016. 

Hyperlocal and Etnica’s CEO, Pablo Martinez, have been closely collaborating in order to provide meaningful tourism experiences for customers while doing our part to foster development within the communities we work with. Pablo himself will lead the start of the trip, ensuring a local and sustainable way.
